Bloody Romance: I, the big troublemaker, Zhong Yuemin!

Chapter 554 Why!

Chapter 554 Why!

For the next few days, Zhong Yuemin stayed home, picking up and dropping off his wife at get off work and his daughter at kindergarten. His life was no different from that of an ordinary stay-at-home husband, with a very regular schedule.

It was Sunday, and my wife was resting at home. Our little girl, Ling'er, didn't have to go to kindergarten either. The weather was nice, and the warm sunshine shone in the courtyard.

Zhong Yuemin moved a deck chair to the yard, holding a piece of wood and a small carving knife, and was intently carving a wooden-handled pistol for his daughter, leaving a lot of wood shavings on the ground.

Other girls like dolls, pretty dresses, and cute hair clips, but this little darling of his prefers wooden sticks, toy guns, slingshots, rolling hoops... all the kinds of things boys like to play with.

He's a complete tomboy.

The little girl didn't go out to play; she just circled around his legs. After circling him once, she would look up at him with her little face and ask again in her sweet, childish voice:

"Dad, when will my gun be fixed?"

"Yes, almost done." Zhong Yuemin didn't even look up, focusing intently on whittling the wood.

"Daddy, when is it coming soon?" the little girl persisted.

"Wait another ten minutes!" Zhong Yuemin replied casually.

"Oh... Daddy, how long is ten minutes?" The little girl tilted her head, starting to struggle with the concept of time.

"dad……"

She's practically a walking encyclopedia of questions, chattering away non-stop, like dozens of little bees buzzing in your ear.

"Ugh……"

Zhong Yuemin sighed inwardly. His daughter was indeed adorable, but she was too clingy and troublesome, and sometimes it was really... hard to handle.

After much effort, the wooden pistol was finally completed. He carefully sanded it smooth with sandpaper, then used a red-hot wire to heat out the outline of the bolt, and finally blackened the handle with ink.

"Here, Ling'er, your gun!"

The little girl's eyes lit up, and she quickly took it, holding it in her hands with great delight. She made a few "bang bang bang" gestures in the air, then giggled.

"Dad, I'm going to find Little Fatty next door. I have a gun too! My dad made it, and... it's better than his!"

After making his triumphant announcement, the little guy took off running towards the gate with his short legs.

Watching his daughter's cheerful figure disappear through the door, Zhong Yuemin finally breathed a long sigh of relief, slumped back in his recliner, and felt that the world had instantly become much quieter.

He said to his wife, Zhou Xiaobai, who was sitting to the side, knitting a sweater for their unborn child with her head down:

"Honey, isn't our girl's energy... a bit too much? Do you think we should take her to the hospital for a checkup to see if she has... ADHD or something?"

As you can see, the only quiet time of the day is when I'm sleeping; once I open my eyes, it's non-stop, like a wound-up toy.

Zhou Xiaobai stopped talking and glared at her husband, annoyed.

"Don't talk nonsense. Aren't all children like this? Being energetic is a sign of good health. I think Ling'er inherited this from you, her father. She's always on the go. Didn't your father say that you were a monkey when you were little, always jumping around? If we're going to do any checkups, we should check you first..."

She changed the subject, looking at Zhong Yuemin with a scrutinizing gaze:

"Hey, why have you been so quiet these past few days? You've been staying home all the time, not even stepping out of the house... Did you get into some trouble outside and are hiding at home to avoid the limelight?"
