Around 8 p.m., Ji Yan texted Ning Yi, asking her to come downstairs and pick her up for dinner.

Ning Yi put on makeup and dressed up nicely, since she was having dinner with Ji Yan.

She excitedly ran out the door and downstairs, where she saw the car that Ji Yan had told her about.

The driver's side window of the car she had just left was rolled down.

Ning Yi nodded and walked to the back seat.

She opened the door and found Ji Yan sitting on the other side, so she quickly sat down.

"Where should we eat?" Ning Yi asked.

Ji Yan turned off his iPad and replied, "There might still be fans nearby who haven't left. Let's go eat somewhere a little further away."

"I just found out online that there's a Sichuan restaurant over there on the other side of the bridge. It has pretty good reviews. Want to try it?" Xu Zhi asked with a smile.

"Can you eat spicy food?" Ji Yan turned to look at her.

Ji Yan changed into a gray short jacket and put on a hat when he got out of the car. Xu Zhi told the shop assistant that they had reserved a private room, and then they were led there.

They chatted for a while longer before hanging up.

The dishes were served just as Ning Yi was making the phone call.

Ningyi: Will you still be here tomorrow?

Ji Yan: Hmm, Xu Zhi said he wants to stay here for two days.

Ning Yi was quite happy, which meant she could spend New Year's Eve with Ji Yan tomorrow.

The thought of having Xu Zhi at dinner today makes me wonder if he'll be there for New Year's Eve tomorrow.
