Chapter 664 Welcome!
664 welcome!
the sight of those individuals made hiro curious and he couldn't refrain from asking if something was wrong. "is something wrong?" hiro asked curiously. with the talent he acquired after the end of the season, hiro could communicate well in spanish. he understood it well and talked fluently. so, he didn't have any problem conversing in spanish, now. the middle-aged man dressed in black scurried over and grabbed hiro's luggage. he responded with a sense of urgency, "somehow, the news of your arrival was leaked, and right now a crowd of people has gathered outside the airport."
just how many people had actually shown up for them to panic like this? hiro couldn't help but wonder. panic was palpable in their face and even the tone of the individual who responded to him sounded urgent. "so, we'll take you out of here from the back gate," the middle-aged individual concluded. there wasn't much time for him to explain. he was well aware that the number of people was growing outside, and if they delayed any further, it might get even more difficult to leave unnoticed. for such obvious reasons, he wanted to leave as fast as possible. after all, he was tasked to bring hiro safely. though they wanted to bring him out of the place unnoticed, hiro had some other plans. for some reason, he didn't feel like leaving the venue unnoticed. if such a crowd had gathered to greet him it'd only be wise to entertain them. normally, he wasn't comfortable with interacting with the crowd. hiro rather preferred quiet individual exchanges to attend to a flock of people. this wasn't his cup of tea. however, hiro didn't want the people supporting him to leave disappointed either. the faster he adjusts to this new environment, the easier it'll get to adapt. while on their way out, hiro asked, "can we take the front route? i know, it's troubling but can we at least greet them?"
upon hearing hiro's request, the man who was in charge of bringing him out of there safely rolled his eyes to look at him. he stared at hiro with an expression filled with surprise. the look on his face yelled, "are you for real?" keeping a poker face, hiro looked at him with an indifferent gaze. "are you sure? it's quite rowdy outside...," the man asked him. hiro nodded, "yes, i want to greet them."
among the chaos, a young boy caught hiro's eye. the boy, no older than eight, was perched on his father's shoulders, clutching a homemade sign that read: "hiro, the future of atletico."
the sight brought a small, genuine smile to hiro's face, and he gave the boy a quick wave. the boy's wide-eyed grin in response seemed to brighten the entire scene.
pablo, standing close by, kept a watchful eye. "keep moving, hiro," he instructed, his tone calm yet firm.
